SECO 5217-04-YEL Original Thumb-Release Bipod – Yellow
The SECO 5217-04-YEL Original Thumb-Release Bipod is a professional field support designed to quickly create a stable, freestanding setup for compatible GNSS/GPS antenna poles and prism poles. Built around SECO’s original thumb-release concept, it combines fast pole attachment, independently adjustable legs, and a protective No-Crush head for everyday survey and construction use.
The open-clamp design allows poles measuring 1 to 1.25 in (25.4 to 31.8 mm) outside diameter to attach through the side of the head. This eliminates the need to lift the pole and thread its full length through the bipod head. Larger 1.5 in (38.1 mm) OD poles can be loaded through the top.
SECO's No-Crush bipod head is designed to prevent crushing of carbon-fiber range and prism poles, even when excessive clamping force is applied. This is especially valuable for crews using carbon-fiber poles where secure clamping and protection of the pole are both important.
For changing terrain, the bipod's legs adjust independently and extend to 6 ft (1.8 m). The unit collapses to 43 in (109 cm) for transport and weighs 4.25 lb (1.93 kg).
