Website Listing Description
The SECO 5217-50-RED Quick Lever Bipod with Thumb-Release Legs is a professional survey pole support designed for fast setup, secure holding, and added protection for compatible prism, range, and survey poles. Its combination of SECO's Quick Lever™ locking mechanism, No-Crush head, non-marring clamping components, and thumb-release legs makes it well suited for daily surveying, GNSS, construction layout, and positioning work.
A major advantage of the 5217-50-RED is its No-Crush head, which is specially contoured to help prevent crushing of carbon-fiber range and prism poles—even when excessive clamping force is applied. This provides valuable protection for lightweight carbon-fiber poles that can be vulnerable to damage from conventional clamps.
SECO's Quick Lever™ locking mechanism makes attaching and detaching the pole exceptionally fast. The mechanically simple cam-action lever locks securely without requiring repeated turning of a conventional clamp knob, helping crews move efficiently between survey points.
The locking mechanism uses non-marring Delrin® with an EPDM 80-durometer rubber plug, providing positive grip while helping protect the pole surface. The bipod is specifically designed for poles with a 1.25-inch (32 mm) outside diameter.
The 5217-50-RED weighs approximately 4.20 lb (1.90 kg) and features a highly visible red finish. The survey pole is not included.

Why Buy from PRISM GeoSystems
Purchasing the SECO 5217-50-RED Quick Lever Bipod from PRISM GeoSystems gives surveyors and contractors access to more than the accessory itself. PRISM can help ensure that the bipod is correctly matched to the pole diameter, pole material, receiver, prism, adapters, and overall field configuration.
Compatibility assistance is particularly important with this model because SECO specifies the 5217-50-RED for 1.25" (32 mm) outside-diameter poles. PRISM can help verify the pole before purchase instead of assuming that every prism, range, or GNSS pole will fit.
PRISM GeoSystems provides equipment and package configuration assistance, setup help, product and workflow training, technical support, calibration and service support, repair assistance, compatible accessories, and local troubleshooting. Customers can also source compatible survey poles, prisms, GNSS equipment, total stations, data collectors, tripods, bipods, batteries, chargers, adapters, and other field supplies.
For customers building or maintaining complete equipment systems, PRISM provides convenient one-stop sales, rental, service, and technical support for professional survey, construction, GNSS, and geospatial equipment.
