The SECO 5217-05-YEL Thumb-Release Mini Bipod is a compact, field-ready support solution designed for surveyors, construction professionals, layout crews, and positioning technicians who need a stable freestanding setup for a GNSS/GPS antenna pole or prism pole without the size of a full-height bipod.
The Mini Bipod uses the same proven design concept as SECO’s popular 5217-04 Thumb-Release Bipod, but in a shorter, more portable configuration. Its open-clamp design accepts 1 to 1.25 in (25.4 to 31.8 mm) diameter poles, allowing the pole to be placed directly into the clamp rather than having to be threaded through the bipod head. 1.5 in (38.1 mm) outside-diameter poles can be loaded through the top.
The bipod collapses to just 25 in (63.5 cm) for transportation and extends to 35 in (88.9 cm) for field use. At approximately 3.50 lb (1.60 kg), it provides a practical combination of portability and support for daily surveying and construction workflows. SECO catalog information also specifies that the Mini Bipod includes a 5217-30 leg clip and a No-Crush Head.
The yellow finish makes the bipod easy to identify among field equipment, while its compact dimensions make it especially useful for lower-height setups, confined working areas, transportation between jobs, and applications where a full-size pole bipod is unnecessary.
